Discover how our traditional wood-fired refractory clay ovens are made. In our historic factory in Tain l'Hermitage, you can follow all the stages of our expertise. Come and meet the men and women who have been shaping Terre Blanche de Larnage since 1840, from the extraction of the raw material in our quarry to the high-temperature firing of the kiln parts. The visit ends on a gourmet note: a tasting of a wood-fired recipe (guaranteed Kaolin-free).
History, culture and heritage:
Visit a 180-year-old company specializing in traditional wood-fired ovens. Awarded the EPV (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant – Living Heritage Company) label, the company is committed to perpetuating exceptional ancestral know-how. Today, it is the last company in France to use Terre Blanche de Larnage to manufacture refractory terracotta products for food use. Tasting included.
Opening
From 01/04 to 31/10/2026 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 9 am and 12 pm and between 1.30 pm and 5.30 pm. On Friday between 9 am and 12 pm and between 1.30 pm and 4 pm. Closed weekends.
Closed exceptionally on Easter Monday, Feast of the Ascension, Whit Monday, May 1st, May 8th, July 14th and August 15th.
