Les Artisanes du verre

This boutique project in Chomérac was born out of a meeting and discussions between three stained glass artists who share the same passion for glass, light, and passing on their expertise.

Through their artistic and artisanal journeys, each has developed a unique approach to stained glass, ranging from traditional techniques to more experimental research.

Through our discussions, meetings, and exchanges, the desire to pool our skills, spaces, and networks became obvious: to create a lively, open, and accessible place where creation can take place before the public’s eyes and where stained glass finds a natural place in public or private spaces.

This reflection gradually gave rise to the idea of opening a hybrid space, combining a creative workshop, an area for learning stained glass techniques, a shop, and a venue for exhibitions and artistic encounters.

The main pupose is to promote stained glass in a contemporary form and the glass art through a unique, easy to identify, and sustainable venue.

More specifically, the project aims at:

– Providing a shared creative space where the three stained glass artists can work, experience, and develop common or individual projects that respect each artist’s uniqueness and creativity.
These creations is also the result of collaboration with other artists and artisans (cabinetmakers, woodcarvers, metalworkers, ceramists, etc.), as the combined expertise will enable them to explore new forms of expression while making the most of different materials.

– Offering a sales space showcasing unique pieces created according to each artist’s inventive spirit or made to order.

– Developing an evolving exhibition space, hosting thematic presentations, personal works, or collaborations with other artists and artisans.

– Fostering encounters between the public and artists by making the creative process visible and stimulating exchange and transmission.

– Taking part in the cultural and artisanal vitality of the municipality of Chomérac and the surrounding area by joining and collaborating with the existing local network (artisanal, cultural, commercial, and tourist).

The goal of this project is to create a center of excellence for stained glass and glasswork, serving as a space for production, dissemination, sharing, and transmission.

More than just a shop, it is about creating a living, evolving space where light, materials, and craftsmanship are in constant dialogue with the public.

By combining workshop, sales, exhibition, and education, this project affirms the desire to make the art of stained glass visible, accessible, and anchored in everyday life.

From 01/06 to 30/09/2026 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 10 am and 12.30 pm and between 1.30 pm and 7 pm. Closed on Monday and Sunday.
