The Ardeche steam train, a historical line

An unforgettable adventure high above the Doux gorge

The whistle toots, wheels start to turn and steam hisses from the engine … Take your seats for a magical journey through the Doux gorge in railway carriages pulled by a steam locomotive, most of them classified as Historic Monuments.  Cut into the side of the cliffs and dotted with industrial works of art such as bridges and viaducts, the Ardeche Train line overlooks the river, passing through unspoilt countryside that offers spectacular views.
