12th century Château de Mauras, built on site of old Roman villa, between Valence and Montélimar, 10 min. from A7 motorway.
Standing on promontory overlooking the plain around Chomérac, a lovely, partly fortified village (shady square, well, all shops).
Very comfortable gîte on 2 levels. Separate entrance and private outdoor area. Large, covered swimming pool in castle grounds, shared with owner and occupants of guest rooms (B&B).
The whole castle can accomodate up to 41 people (gîte de la tour du juge: 15 people + B&B/Maison d’hôtes: 8 people + gîte Pavillon: 18 people).
